TREATED SEED CONTAMINATION

Jackson Seed Service Ltd. enforces a Zero Tolerance Policy for treated seed contamination in grain deliveries. This is due to strict safety standards required by processors and export markets.

Treated seed contamination can result in:

  • Business disruptions
  • Equipment and facility cleanout
  • Financial losses from affected grain (delivered or stored)

Prevention Measures Required

To prevent contamination, the following measures must be followed:

  • Use clean & appropriate equipment
  • Clearly label or dedicate treated seed equipment
  • Follow through cleanout procedures (vacuuming, pressure washing, flushing)
  • Maintain detailed cleanout records
  • Ensure third-party haulers are also contaminant-free
